An Arduino, a Parallax RFID reader, a 1200 lbs magnetic lock and a bunch of various components come together to let me come and go without keys.

First off you still have a key, just not a conventional key, if it didn't have a key it wouldn't be a lock it'd be a gate since you would need permission to get in, and not be able to get in on your own... And this is again not saying any sort of parts list or schematic, what a fail

How about a how to make for us dummies? Also is there a way to extend the reange to 12inches or more?
